The Lexington Public Library has been a significant part of my life since I moved to Lexington, Kentucky, in 2006. I still have my original library card, but I rarely pull it out because I memorized my library card number years ago. I’ve mostly used the library for checking out books. But I’ve also taken classes for professional development and made great friends at the library.
 
When the Eastside Branch relocated and asked patrons to check out as many books as possible to help them move, I happily obliged. I made multiple trips and checked out dozens of books that I later returned to the new location. I recently joined the library board, and now I’m working to raise funds for Library Giving Month (April).

The library has given me so much, and I’m glad for this opportunity to give back. I hope you will join me in supporting the Lexington Public Library by helping me to reach my fundraising goal.

What is Library Giving Month: The Library Giving Month campaign is a concept dedicated to growing philanthropic support for libraries across the nation highlighting “Library Giving Day” and  “Library Awareness Week.” All gifts in the month of April will support the $15K campaign goal of supporting Lexington Public Library. 

Donations of $50 and above will receive a commemorative Cricket Press print of the Eastside Branch as a thank you. Please include a note with your donation to specify if you'd like the print mailed or if you'll pick it up at Central Library branch.

Posters will be available after May 1st, 2025.
